Cost Structure
Loan Loss Provision – Start-ups are inherently lossmaking, especially those that are innovative and challenging existing norms. This means they will need cash injections to perfect their concepts and ideas, while no revenue is forthcoming.
Partnerships and deal cost – NIF will partner with some Fintech companies and financial institutions with brick-&-mortar facilities through which money will be channelled to the entrepreneurs.

Encouraging and motivating Africans to become investors – by joining NIF which is a body focused on cultivating an investment culture in Africa by ordinary Africans.
Collecting cash contributions from Africans – the money will allow the seed/angel fund capitalise novelty concepts and ideas.
